Welcome to Chang’an, capital of 13 dynasties.
Essentials —
Arrive at Xi’an airport or railway station, where your local staff will contact you in advance by SMS or phone and meet you on arrival. Transfer to your hotel and check in with your name; you may be asked to pay a refundable deposit (approx. ¥100–300/room), returned on check-out if no damages occur.
After check-in, the rest of the day is free at leisure, with no fixed itinerary and no guide escort. Please take care of your personal safety and belongings.

Head to Xi’an Museum to enjoy a concise yet rich overview of the city’s history.
See models of Xi’an from Zhou dynasty to Ming–Qing eras, showcasing how the city changed layout and scale across dynasties.
Collections cover bronze ware, pottery, sculptures, Buddhist relics and city relics, highlighting Xi’an’s role as capital over more than a dozen dynasties.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square & Great Tang Everbright City
Walk through Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square, home to one of Asia’s largest music fountain squares and a Xi’an icon.
See the exterior of Daci’en Temple and Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where Master Xuanzang once translated sutras after returning from India.
Continue to Great Tang Everbright City (Datang Buyecheng), one of China’s first model pedestrian streets, built with Tang-style architecture and themed sculptures:
Check in at Tang poetry street, Tang-style lanterns, immersive light installations and themed performances.
Look for the popular “unfallen lady” (不倒翁小姐姐) and other interactive street shows.
Due to the open nature of Great Tang Everbright City, you will have free time to explore. The guide will agree on a meeting time and point; if you prefer to stay longer, you may return to the hotel on your own by taxi or ride-hailing.

Ancient hot springs used since Zhou and Tang times.

The story of “beacon fires to amuse the lords” in nearby Lishan.

Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, one of the world’s greatest archaeological discoveries, hailed as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”.

Learn how the army was arranged according to real Qin dynasty battle formations.

Daci’en Temple & Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Visit Daci’en Temple, a grand imperial temple built by Tang Emperor Gaozong in memory of his mother Empress Wende.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, inside the temple complex, is where Master Xuanzang stored Buddhist scriptures brought back from India and organized translation work, making this a key site in the history of cultural exchange between China and India.

Yisu Theater Cultural Street
Move on to Yisu Theater Cultural Block, centered on the century-old Yisu Theater, one of the earliest modern Qin opera troupes.

Muslim Quarter (Hui Min Street)
Follow stone-paved lanes shaded by trees to Muslim Quarter, the most famous food street in Xi’an.
The quarter features Ming–Qing-style buildings and hundreds of snack stalls with over 300 types of local specialties such as beef & mutton dishes, roujiamo, liangpi, biangbiang noodles and sweets.

Itinerary Order – Without reducing scenic spots, guides may adjust visit order based on real-time traffic, weather or ticket conditions. If a spot is closed by force majeure or policy, the agency will arrange another time if possible, or refund ticket cost at agency rate if not visited.
ID & Check-in – Adults (16+) must bring valid ID cards / passports; children must bring household registration or birth certificate. Hotels require a deposit (approx. ¥100–300/room) at check-in, refundable at check-out if no damage.
Rooms – Most Xi’an hotels do not have standard triple rooms or extra beds. If one person stays alone, they must pay a single supplement.
High Season Note – Xi’an often has many tour groups and conferences; tourist buses and restaurants may be crowded. There may be short waits for buses or meals; your patience is appreciated.
Complaints – The “Service Quality Feedback Form” filled out in Xi’an is the main basis for handling complaints. If you do not mention problems on the form or via phone during the trip, the trip will be considered satisfactory and post-trip claims may not be accepted.
Leaving the Group – If you leave mid-tour or change your plan on your own initiative, it will be treated as voluntary abandonment and unused services cannot be refunded; extra costs and safety are your own responsibility.
Force Majeure – Extra costs due to flight / train delays, natural disasters, etc. are at the traveler’s own expense.
Safety – Keep valuables with you at all times; do not leave them in the coach or hotel room. The agency is not responsible for losses caused by travelers’ own mishandling.
Health – Travelers must ensure they are medically fit to join; the agency is not responsible for incidents caused by undisclosed health conditions.
Rainy Season – Be careful on slippery roads in scenic areas and in wet restaurant/hotel bathrooms during rainy weather.

Yes. Walking distances are moderate. Some sites (city wall, Huaqing Palace, Terracotta Warriors) involve steps or uneven surfaces, so comfortable non-slip shoes are recommended for all ages.
